At First Congregational Church, we believe that faith formation is a lifelong journey — and it starts early. Our Church School runs from Catch the Spirit Sunday in September through late May, with a five-week summer program from late June through early August.

Each Sunday, children worship alongside their families for the opening portion of the 10:00 a.m. service, then head to their classes following the Children’s Message.

Nursery

Our nursery provides a warm, caring environment for our youngest children while their families worship. Staffed by attentive caregivers, it’s a safe and nurturing space for infants and toddlers.

Pre-K through Grade 8

Using a Bible-based curriculum, our Church School classes help children explore the stories of Scripture, grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, and develop a sense of responsibility to God, to one another, and to the wider community. We want every child to leave knowing they are loved, valued, and part of something bigger than themselves.

Confirmation (Grade 9 and above)

Confirmation is an opportunity for older youth to explore their faith more deeply, ask the hard questions, and make a personal commitment to the life of the church. Classes are designed to be honest, engaging, and age-appropriate — meeting young people exactly where they are.
